mastering mixed formats, one project.

I've got to master a compilation cd with audio from diverse sources. The formats vary from .aif/;wav 16 & 24 bits to mp3's. i'm using cubase on a mac. My inclination is to open the lot in one 24bit setup but I have inarticulate nagging doubts. Is there a better way to do this?

I can't imagine you'd have any major problems with the formats you mention, but I'd go back to whoever is supplying an MP3 and explain the error of their ways to them!
