Why is my system overloading? new
      #974260 - 05/03/12 08:25 PM
So I'm trying to finish off some mixes and Logic keeps coming up with a system overload message, saying it couldn't process all the data in time.
This is really frustrating cause I cant listen through a whole track in one go and more importantly I cant bounce the tracks because it comes up with the same message when bouncing them!

I'm running a mid2009 MB pro with 8gig ram, am still on snow leopard, so whats the craic?

Why is the system overloading? The projects are only about 20 tracks each and none have drastically huge channel strips.

Any help would be grately appreciated as I want to get these mixes finished tonight cause they're dragging on a bit

cheers

Look at your performance meters to see where the load is. If the main load is CPU, freeze some of the tracks. If the load is disk based, increase the audio buffers and/or unfreeze some tracks, or use a disk with higher performance (eg, 7200rpm disk on FW800 as opposed to a 5400 rpm drive on FW400...)
