Sibelius Hassles. Please HELP!

hi guys

i've got a weird problem importing a midi file from logic into Sibelius.

most people have the issues with the rhythms etc but i can't find any info on my problem.

when i import a midi file of eg a piano part, it seems to split the notes into two staves. (not treble and bass like a regular piano stave) its like two treble staves with just a few random notes appearing on the wrong stave. essentially, i need them all to end up in the same stave. this sort of thing would happen if the parts were on separate regions in Logic, but these notes are all in the same region.

(from this point i would create a new/blank piano stave, copy the part onto it and then allow it to split the appropriate notes to bass clef)

this is incredibly frustrating. it is the most non-intuitive process i've ever engaged in.

can any of you geniuses help??

sorry i should also not this:

when i'm in Logic looking at these regions, if i go to the piano roll, it all looks sweet. all the notes are appearing in the correct fashion, as one part. however, if i bring up the velocity lane, only seem to see some notes! crazy! and guess what, those are the same notes that have been transferred to the wrong stave.

so i'm guessing the solution to the big problem, is to eliminate this problem!

but how? logic nerds?
