I'm not even a guitarist and I remember him with some affection. I still remember his appearance on Tomorrow's World some time in the early 60s demonstrating something he called the crybaby peddle ...

I felt a bit behind the curve over that one day thing too but fondly remembered. Good age too. RIP.

I remember buying "Play in a day" when i was a wee nipper still at school. Managed to put together a 3 chord tune in a day, so i feel the title was accurate.

Bloody good bloke.

a lot of these old guys were pioneers and inovators, just dismissed by the masses as being oldies.
