Digi MBox2 Pro - Broken!!!!!! D-: new
      #983755 - 23/04/12 09:39 AM
Hello

I am considering getting a shiny new iMac and getting rid of my old PC. It has meant a switcharoo in the old 'studio', however I've had an oh oh. I've managed to damage the second headphone dial on my MBox 2 Pro meaning I cant use it. I have tried a pair of headphones in it and am getting a couple of strange noises so I think there is some more internal damage. Nothing else appears broken.

I've tried searching the Avid website, but they don't appear to have a European version of their website any more. I'm completely out of warranty as the box is about 5 years old.

Does anyone know, a) how I look at getting this repaired, b) how much this is likely to cost. I don't really have the money for a new interface, but if the repair and shipping is more costly then I wouldn't have a choice. I'm stuck at PTLE 7.4 anyway as PT10 is so expensive, so if the worst comes to worst I would end up spending about £500 on Logic and a shiny interface.

Thanks for the help.
Tom

Regarding looking into a repair, you could talk to the shop where you bought it, or any other shop that sells Avid/Digidesign gear, and they would be able to point you at a service centre, or may handle the servicing for you (sending it off for repair).

You could also try looking at the UK info here: http://www.avid.com/US/support/support-contact
