DIY multicore for studio new

Can anyone recommend a supplier of parts for a DIY multicore? It only needs to be a few feet long to go from the desk in the control room, through the wall into the live room. Stage box on live room end, XLRs on t'other. I can't find any 24/4 snakes that short online so I'm thinking of making one up instead. Also, any thoughts on material for making the hole in the wall air-tight once the cable is in place?

VDC (vdctrading.com) will make up any configuration for you if you want to save yourself a lot of soldering! Alternatively Studiospares have all the bits you will need. I have used the Sommer multicore cable and its pretty decent for the price.

In terms of filling the hole you could just mortar it in. Or use a flexible sealant if the gaps are minimal.

Also, Farnell sell some Van Damme multiple-pair and all the connectors you might need.
