1. Connect your outboard devices to input/output pairs on your interface.

Configure your IO template to reflect these connections...Create 'inserts' in the IO
window. These inserts can be mono or stereo, analogue or digital. The only restriction is
that the outboard must be connected to corresponding input and output connections...ie
Output 1 sends to the unit, and returns on input 1. You can't configure the return on a
different numbered input.
3. From the insert assignment drop down on the
channel, at the bottom you'll find the inserts you've created listed. Just choose one, and
audio will route out of the selected output, through the outboard and return on the input.
4. These inserts will be delay compensated but they wont reflect the latency
incurred by an 'unknown' digital device that you might connect at the other end. So you
can go to the insert delay window and specify a latency that might be added by such a
device.
