Hi, I just put my eyes on an array system. As for the specifications, within each
enclosure, the LF driver has 2 x 12" (300mm)/3" (75mm) voice coil, and MF driver has 2 x
6.5" (165mm)/2" (50mm) coil.
I'm confused. Is that dual voice coil? Why with
different sizes?
Can anyone explain the behind-scene theory? Since the
official site does not provide revelant information.
Thanks in advance. And
FYI, the brand is Mar**n. The array is MLA system.

When a speaker is listed as being 'Dual Voice coil', that means that the single speaker
has 2 individual points to connect to an amplifier, or crossover.
This is
useful on higher powered speakers, such as subwoofers, where you may want to connect 2 X
1000watt amplifiers onto a single speaker.
The signal for both voice coils
should be identical.
