Hi all, this is rather urgent, I am working on a song I have to finish today and I need a
plugin to fake a choir using one vocal. I have looked at Antares Choir Evo but it requires
Ilok USB key and I don't have that...Is there an alternative?
Thanks!

Doesn't seem to be a lot out there...maybe Waves Ultrapitch or Melodyne. Also just came
across something called "Clone ensemble"...

Thank you! This would indeed work, but there's no Mac version

Mult the part to several tracks, treat each one differently. More compression, touch of
delay, bit of pitch shift, eq away the fundamental, move one early, panning, octave up,
octave down, fifth down, maj or min third up, ride them in and out...

I have thought about it and I will give it a
try.

I am at work and cannot test it now, but apparently this could be the solution... http://www.mu-technologies.com/catalog/muvoice_download.php

Not cheap is it. Guess you can't go wrong with a 15 day trial though. SOS review

Exactly, I will download the trial and
see what I can do with it tonight. I wish I found it before I told my friend he's a lousy
singer and that I couldn't be bothered to work on his song

+1 for this one, it really made
me laugh tho'
(It also remind me once I’ve told the singer to take the gold
chains off, because of the noise he was making while jarrateing around the microphone I
got "Who da f*** you think you are? White Dr.Dre?" for reply...)

If its not too late, I do this
occasionally... the key is to be patient and keep tracking over and over until you have
several dozen tracks, which might be made up of tonic, third, fifth, and an octave either
way if you can manage. In Logic to help with pitching the lines, I write the parts and
then lock the piano roll editor so the notes can be seen seen while recording. Mute
harmony parts - makes it much easier. Don't be over analytic - some pitch deviation and
timing imprecision helps the effect. Sing in a few different voices, even go a little
silly, it adds to the mash nicely. Dust with a nice reverb and you have a choir: Example
here about 35 seconds in, and then a minute later:
