Mind you, Atlantic are probably still paying for Led Zeppelin's coke habit, and they are part of the RIAA. So fair's fair. And coming up with that EQ curve for vinyl costs money too, you know.

I think they are using quantum accounting theory. The $72T is he amount currently owed across the multiverse... When, the final QBIT accounting calculations are made it collapses the probability wave to an actual data point. This is around $42.97 plus local taxes.

This of course all works like this because while the theory is based on the fact the universe is curved, the accountants are likely to be actually bent.
