Session Drummer wanted for London session
      #989301 - 24/05/12 01:09 PM
Hi Peeps,

It's early days on the project but I may be producing up a pop/rock song and would like to replace the drums with a good player in a decent studio - decent ish budget for the sesson - just one song.

Can anyone recommend a drummer (I have the studio covered). Looking for someone who has a nice open rock/pop style and is good with fills and open hat work.

Cheers,

JP

Check out my man Steve Barney - strictly speaking, he is based in Liverpool, but all his sessions are in London.

I've worked with Levis Szendro quite a bit. Excellent drummer. Classical percussionist with a penchant for rock music. Makes his own drums. Really nice guy too, who 'gets' the music.

Website here. Drop me a line at matt *at* soundonsound.com if you want more details...

Hi JP,

My name is Stuart and I am a drummer currently based in South London.

Don't know if you're still looking for a drummer or not but thought I'd throw my details your way.

I'm an experienced live and studio player having played top level venues such as Shepherds Bush Empire, Festivals such as Bestival, The Great Escape, and toured extensively over the UK, and worked with Producers such as Dave Eringa (Manic Street Preachers, Kylie Minogue, Ash) with a number of Artists, mostly original.

I'm a very professional person and I approach all projects with a bundle of enthusiasm and an open mind, I'm very experienced with click tracks (both Live and in Studio) and use them on a regular basis. I can read music, and I am more than happy to give opinions with regard to arrangements etc if needed.
I've played with all manner of bands, doing theatre pit work to hardcore punk and Acoustic, but I am very much a fan of Pop, Indie Pop and Rock.

I drum very much with a pop sensibility and consider myself a 'musical' player but I also have a lot of energy in my playing which I think translates well Live and in the studio by lifting a track but without dominating it.

I'm always on the look out for great new projects to work with and I'd be very intrigued to hear more from you about this ad. I don't have a solo video to hand right now but I can link you to some audio of my playing with a few things instead.

Here's a music video to give you an example.

You can stream the whole album on Spotify if you want to hear more playing here: http://open.spotify.com/album/23qOUnaAKKnZVts1GKBcx8

aaaand one more from another project I did stuff for recently.

Feel free to drop me a line on : 07916324522, if I don't pick up please leave a voicemail!
or send an email to the address provided.

If you wanted to speak to Dave Eringa about his experience of recording with me I can pass you his contact details too.

Many Thanks, Look forward to hearing from you.
(And sorry for the lengthy message!)
