I signed up years ago when there was a buzz about that you needed to be a part of all social media sites. I'm linked to one person! But social media is far from my strong point, I know that some people use theirs for business contacts and job hunting.

I've got one, mainly as a way of keeping in touch with a few ex-colleagues and people I've worked with who live abroad, as I don't use Facebook.

Yes I've got one as well (and more links to others than I have on Facebook), but I only really use it for catching up with old and new colleagues rather than as an active way to source new projects.

Yes. I think it is very useful on a professional level. I treat it like a professional facebook. Like the forum here, it is really useful to join in on the group discussions. I think the one thing for me, is that (currently!) it is also rather troll free, whilst there are some heated chats, they don't descend into vitrol, there is an element of professional respect imho.

Well worth a punt I would say, also it can create useful CV templates (should you need them!)

Had one, deleted it. Couldn't see the purpose of it. If someone wants to message me there are several options already.

Strikes me it's there for grownups to use as an alternative to Facebook's frivolousness.
