Sending SysEx info to Roland U-20

I'm trying to send a factory patch sysex to a Roland U-20 using Bome and an Emagic emi 6|2m but I keep getting a "sysex checksum error" message.

Any ideas where I'm going wrong with this?

Er... the Emagic emi 6|2m is an audio interface, not MIDI

How do you have the U20 hooked up?..

I have the U-20 connected by midi-in from the emi 6|2m, which in turn is connected by usb to the pc running XP SP3 and Bome.

The emi 6|2m has midi in and out so I expect it can be used as a midi device. What can you recommend in its place?

Ok.. yeah.. my bad..

I assume Bome can see the interface ok?.. you can send MIDI normally?..

If I remember correctly, Roland kit of that era would require a handshake to initiate the transfer.. So you need to have MIDI connected both ways.. So U20 MIDI out back to in of interface as well
