Stolen Zylco cymbal new
      #999366 - 23/07/12 01:15 PM
A friend has had his fave cymbal stolen from the P&O cruise ship Oriana in the last 4 weeks. Contact Nigel Williams and the police if anyone knows of such a cymbal appearing recently.

"My priceless 20" Zilco Jazz Ride has been taken........I have recorded loads of albums and Toured the world for 30 years looking after it as it has looked after me......Good luck to the Sad Bast...d who had the nerve to nick it. I will find you."

"Zilco Cyms were made by Zildjian in the 50s to the 70s . Made in a factory in Canada. They are very rare and have a very different mellow sound,,,,,perfect for my Jazz gigs and recordings ,hard to get a good one.....as i know......This has been taken by someone who knew what they wanted..........I had been asked to sell this over the years to many many fine players,,,,,,they knew it would never be up for sale......"

Hope he gets it back. Unless it's been stolen by (or to order for) an unscrupulous drummer it'll hopefully come up for sale somewhere at some point. Unless it's the victim of metal theft for its scrap value. Which would be very sad.

Assholes that steal should be converted into dog food. Or cat food ... I'm not fussy.

Stake them out for the vultures. They'll eat anything, including other vultures.

To The OP, really sorry to hear this. Saying that is not a lot of help to you friend of course

Happily, the [ ****** ] bottled out of smuggling it off the ship, and was found in a locker, somewhere. Phew!

Good to hear. Did they find out who the bar-steward was that nicked it?
