MIssed out on this little beauty

I had a K5M some years ago.. very nice and surprisingly warm for a digital synth.

wish I'd had the space for it

Had the K4. It was superb. Not that far off a Korg M1 that was twice the price. K1 was a great too.

Never tried the K5.

The word "bargain" doesn't generally exist for "vintage" gear unless it's associated with the word "crap"...

Th K5 was an interesting one. It's not a great synth, difficult to use, thin sounding, and not much real time potential but it was one of the few synths trying to do something different from the analog, FM and rompler world.

At a ton it would certainly be worth picking up and playing with...

I just bought a casio HZ600 on a whim for £60 - a bargain but, as Desmond warns, probably crap! Mind you just reserved a Fizmo for £560 with replacement power supply and a service - not too bad in this mad era! Not sure it's a bargain........

Copped a JX10 with flightcase for £250 only a few months ago - aftertouch working fine as well. That's verging on a bargain........

Oh, just copped a mint Prophet 600 for £499....I know they were 10p about 5 years ago but in the current climate that's pretty good. Comes with a original P600 flightcase as well and looks brand new....Of course shipping is $250 and there will be import duties which will make the real price about £750-800 ish...still not bad if it's a good as it looks and they claim........Being a "Prophet' I could probably sell it on without loss if I hate it!

'Twas I! The lucky man - I've had an S2 at the heart of my rig since 1993, and always wanted 15 more notes!!!! Almost ended up with 2 S3's - there was another one which went for £30 the same night. It's an insult really, to these fine bits of kit. 2 MIDI in/out/thru, patchbay, 16 tracks, 250k note sequencer, poly aftertouch, lovely strong keyboard - all in hardware - apart from having gigabytes rather than megabytes of storage, still nothing to touch them!

A very happy DBP

Nice! A very elegant and powerful keyboard by the looks of it.
