Moog Taurus - recreating a legendary preset? new
      #905307 - 01/04/11 09:17 AM
I love my Moog Taurus 3 bass pedals, but I’m troubled by one thing. What happened to the ‘Banjo’ preset button from the original Taurus 1 pedals? Second only to the mighty ‘Taurus’ preset, heard on many notable recordings, and famous for its powerful muted ‘plunk’, this sound is surely a major part of the Taurus legend?

I’ll be sure to program it up on my T3, but, given its classic status to Taurus 1 users, it seems a shame that Moog have not allocated it to a preset button for instant recall.

Can anyone offer any starters on recreating the patch? I have to get it done today, of course...

It probably went the same way as the 'Earth Shattering Nuclear Explosion' preset on the early Korg Micro-Presets.

There's also a secret option on the MicroKorg to enable its true VCOs. Turns out the case itself is pressure-sensitive and you need to stand on it, drive over it, or smash it with a hammer to get it working. If at first you don't succeed...
