Not to mention Prophet 08, Moog Little Phatty/Voyager/Taurus...

And some s/w stuff ... and some serious VAs.

Not sure what the problem is - it's all out there one way or another!

'they' do still produce analogue synths - Korg are kicking their Monotribe into the fray. And has been mentioned, there are quite a few other analogue toys about! So the OP post premise is incorrect - as there is lots of this [ ****** ] goin on - rock on you crazy analogue heads!!

I think the digital synth is the way ahead - so many new ways to control the sound - virtual analogue is a tired sport for digital heads - we are moving on!
New ambient metro sound - Blade Runner - what was that Yamaha CS something? Now that WAS nice.
- i appreciate you vintage guys - but, digital is the new sound.

Actually, now you mention it, you've just reminded me...

David Cockerell, engineer with EMS (and later Akai) was working with digital oscillators, envelopes, etc., on a PDP8 mainframe back in the mid to late 60s and EMS founder, Peter Zinovieff was sampling on it!!!!

I find it rather cool that this Japanese sampler that was popular at one point is mostly the creation of the British...
The hardware was by David, software by Chris Hugget and didn't you write the manuals for some along with sound libraries and general design input

As an Austrlian design engineer who lived for almost 15 years in Hamamatsu japan....

Roland and Yamaha also had contributions from Americans, Europeans and Australians ... they just don't make much of a deal out of it..

... always visitors going through, even from magazine staff, who I was kept away from
