CD Duplication Artwork errors new
      #996447 - 06/07/12 08:32 AM
I recently had 200 CDs of my new album duplicated with a UK company and the majority of these have the album title and artist name (along the spine) mis-aligned, off-centre. The company have already confirmed that this is a calibration error at their end and that my artwork is properly positioned.

I'm looking at asking for replacement CDs or a refund. Has anyone had a similar experience and do I have a fair case to ask for this?

Just to clarify ... is this a printing error on the cover, rather than on the CD?

Infuriating when this happens. If they accept responsibility, presumably they would be willing to run them off again, if that's what you want. Like whis4ey says, is this just a printing error on a digipak, or CD insert...? No point repressing the disks if they're OK. (Annoying as this is, you also need to ask yourself how much you care, which depends how bad it looks; getting some cash back might be better than chucking 200 digipaks in the skip.)

Yes it happens. They'll send you new CDs as they've already said its their fault and what they sent you doesn't fulfil their obligation or contract with you. Dont worry about it - just remind them that they must send you correct CDs. If they send the new CDs you are not entitled to a refund. If they don't, you are.

I had this once and they reprinted at zero cost (and destroyed the faulty ones)
