The integration of the SOS Forum into the main site has enabled us to permit registered members of this site and SOS Subscribers to enter up to 3 different email addresses into the relevant sections of their My Account record.

This means that a separate email address can be dedicated to Readers Ads usage and a different one to SOS Forum usage, whilst maintaining an up-to-date Contact email address for primary liaison with SOS administration staff. The latter is especially important for SOS Subscribers, as we use email extensively for Password Reminders, Competition Entries, Subscription Expiry Reminders, Renewal Offers and such-like.

This should remove the need for users of the Readers Ads part of our site to create unnecessary multiple accounts. We already hide personal email addresses within the adverts you post, forcing initial contact to be made via web form so that spammers cannot harvest your email details. It is then up to you, the seller, to determine whether you reply to the would-be buyer or not.

By keeping one account, buyers can look up when you registered, how many things you have advertised on the Readers Ads site and whether or not you are a subscriber. This instills confidence in the buyer and is more likely to result in a sale.

You may change any of your email addresses and other personal information at any time by logging into the site and accessing your My Account.
