"Sequencing" Rebirth
      #49057 - 12/11/04 07:59 PM
A long time ago, I purchased Rebirth, but got fed up with it, as I couldn't get to grips with the "sequencing" side of it. I now have Reason, and for inspiration, have turned back to Rebirth. Is there anyway of sequencing patterns from Rebirth in Reason, by creating "parts" for them, so that you can move the "parts/patterns" around within Reason, as you would any part you had actually composed within the Reason sequencer.

I love some of the Riffs/Patterns I make in Rebirth, but would like the flexibilty to rearrange the song as it develops.

Or do I just have to export each loop as a .wav and chuck it into the sampler, as I am doing at the moment.

I'm not that familiar with Reason, but you can extract the four (808 / 909 & 2 x 303) MIDI files from Rebirth patterns. Obviouly, you would need to load these file back into the drum machine and synths in Reason, but it's a workaround that might be useful if nobody else can help. I can't remember the name of the program, so I'm going to reboot into my Win98 partition and have a look. Should be back with an answer soon.

Regards, Al.
