I also recommend James Walker as he has looked after me for 10 years. I did go to a London
repairer for an emergency repair recently and was charge £100 for having a look at a item
for one hour and not finding the fault. James, as far as I know, does not charge for
fault finding.
Also am not sure about the waiting months or a year for a
repair as I always get mine done very quickly but maybe I have got lucky every time!
Lastly James has competitive rates but more importantly is completely trustworthy
and really knows his stuff. He specialises more than others (it seems to me) in the
vintage end of things.
