Organ sounds, 1970's/80's
      #871736 - 30/10/10 08:51 PM
Guys, just a quick one...

the organ sounds on three particular tracks are puzzling me, old saddo that I am... Dunno if I can recreate the sounds/effects in either NI B4 or Vintage Organs or some other platform....

The first are the organ stabs in the original Tubular Bells, side 1 track one, in the opening 5 minutes or so.

The second one is the organ sound used by Trevor Horn on Two Tribes, particularly on the album version. Not sure if its a "proper" organ or a synth, maybe even a sample.

Lastly, another Trevor Horn/Lipson one, this time a Propaganda track, Murder Of Love; theres an organ sound, panned quite hard right under Steve Howes guitar solo about three quarters of the way through the song. Again, not sure its a real organ. Something is saying to me that it might be a JP8, but I'm really not sure.

I've got Arturia JP8, Waldorf PPG and the two NI platforms on my PC... can anyone throw any light on any of these sounds?

Ta

Don't know if this helps with the Tubular bells one.
