Kurzweil 2600 AU/exs setup? new
      #904324 - 28/03/11 07:51 PM
Am a complete newbie, so apologies if the question is very simple (though Google says it is not..).
My friend, pianist, is nagging me to get the very same sound as Peter Gabriel on 'here comes the flood' from the live tour (growing up, 2003). To me it sounds like a 'simple' piano, with some slight distortions here and there. Pianist tells me it is Kurzweil 2600.
Now i wonder - is there any way, other than purchasing the big machine itself, to get this very sound? I am using Logic, and have simple Roland (300sx) plus some guitar stuff.

Would be grateful for advice either way, so either i can fix it or tell pianist to start saving his money for the Kurzweil itself...

Thanks!

Do you have an example somewhere we can listen to? I have all sorts of kit (including a Kurzweil or two) so might be able to help if you can provide a link to a snippet ...

I found this article about the keyboard rigs on the tour. Hope that helps.
