Hello,
Please can somebody recommend me a fully weighted MIDI piano keyboard?
I am looking to use the keyboard to practice playing the piano so it needs to have a very
realistic action.
I will be using the software NI Akoustik Piano to create the
audio.
Ideally I would like recommendations of old well built MIDI piano
keyboards that have a great action and study construction; that have in all likelihood
stood the test of time and not developed faults. Allowing me to pick them one up
relatively cheaply on eBay.
Kind wishes,
CC

I was surprised at how good the studiologic VMK-188 was, for the price. (about £500) Very
good action. I personally use a Roland RD-300gx, but you're also paying for the
sounds you won't use with that one.

M-Audio Keystation 88
Pros- cheap, excellent value for money. Built like a tank
& has more functions than you will ever need.
Cons- not the most realistic
action, definitely not the best I have played
I bought a Keystation 88
for under £200 and wrote two film scores on it, using the mini grand in Protools. It did
the job perfectly well. It is not the best out there, but I can't really fault it.

Personally, I found the action on M-Audio
weighted keyboards to be clunky and slow.

Nice one... It won't disappoint. If you don't mind my asking, where did you get it from?
