The Prophet will follow MIDI clock, but that need to be generated by something with a
clocked tempo (Like a drum machine).
The Roland drum kit is not generating any tempo
information but simply outputting MIDI notes (which is why you hear notes on the
Prophet)
The only way to link a live drummer to a MIDI clock is a device that
can generate MIDI clock from inputted taps or beats. These don't work very well in my
experience and are more trouble that they are worth.
The most effective means to lock
the two together is to get the drummer to play to a click generated by the M06 or some
other drum machine(assuming the drummer can play to click) and to lock the Prophet to that
generated MIDI clock
Hope this helps
