A great reverb for $99: Redline Reverb new
      #739004 - 29/05/09 01:03 PM

I was looking another good plug in reverb for my studio and I heard about Redline Reverb and downloaded the free demo.
I was originally looking at the Sony Oxford (Sonnox) reverb which I liked, and noticed that the EQ on it was able to add some weight to the reverb. This helped the track to stay up front and not get a little washed in the background. However it is a little pricey for a single reverb plug in.

The Redline reverb also has EQ and was able to do the same thing. Keep the track up front. I am not sure how much the EQ on the reverb has to do with it, but I really do like it. It has very nice tails. I tried using the Waves IR1 reverb with it's EQ, and even tried another plug in EQ before and after the IR1 reverb and did not get the same results. The reverb still had a distant sound added to the track.

Try it out and tell me what you think?

Damn, for the price that is most impressive.... It actually does the sort of tails you usually only hear in a hardware unit... Just trying it out and so far, most impressed indeed..

Phew! Was just about to cough up for Classik Studio REverb. Not now! With A Mic--what a brilliant preset!

This reverb does indeed go head to head against a lot more expensive reverbs out there and goes quite well. Good enough that I am satisfied with the reverbs in my studio which are Waves IR1 (with RC 6000 impules), Waves Ren reverb, and the Redline Reverb....plus the ones in Samp as well.
