Emergency multitrack recording app
      #863696 - 25/09/10 07:06 PM
I have a problem, the Firewire on my MBP has blown up. I have Logic 8 on it.
So, I can connect my Fireface 800 to my old iMacG5, OS 10.5 ... fine done that.
Tried Reaper, Audacity. Really un-intuitive, and one won't talk to the FF800. And where are the audiofiles to transfer to my MBP and Logic to mix?

With Garage Band, I seem to have the option of paying for a download of iLife 09 .. without a tryout. But... will it work on a PPC iMac?

You may be asking why not use Logic? I would, if the box was where I am at the moment!

Any suggestions for a sequencer (that doesn't need Jack!)

I'm now looking at N-Track Studio. Looks promising.

Any recommendations welcomed!

G

Well, after being lost in ghastly GUIs, Intel Only, and endless faffing about, I ended up using Traction. Which at least looks like a recording interface!

So nice to be back with Logic.
