I'd point the finger at Sound Forge not handling .wav files with additional fields
properly. Seems like it misinterpreted the file and caused all sorts of problems. To be
honest, if you have Audition then there's no reason to use Sound Forge as Audition can do
just about everything that Sound Forge does - and often does it better.
