As to the other stuff
Fanned frets... Zion were doing them for a while... ... I played one for about 6 months , weird yes, but you get used to it... eventually.... then swapping back becomes equally difficult...
personally, i find the Buzz feiten system less hassle and easier to adjust to...
and it's easier to build !
