I think I was a bit vague in my first post- when I say I'm only interested in the preamps,
I mean in the context of the mixer. What I need is enough preamps to cover micing a drum
kit, but also a few line ins for general stuff etc, so I'm really looking for a mixer as
opposed to standalone preamps. I'd also need two stereo groups for routing signals like
the Yamaha has; so far that's the only mixer with those features I have found. I'll check
out that Alesis one though.
What about second hand? My budget is probably £150
plus whatever I can sell the Behringer for... I'm a poor student unfortunately!
