Channel 7 not working on delta 1010

I recently embarrassed myself when I had a client in trying to record 8 analogue outputs from his multitracker to my soundcard (delta1010) and realising that only 7 of the 8 inputs were receiving audio. (don't tell the keyboard player, we took out one of his stereo channels!)
Problem wasn't the lead, and I couldn't see anything problematic in the mixer (or in Logic).

Anyone come across hardware failure of this nature with the delta1010?

Anyone got suggestions?
