arrangements; a piece of music can start with a rythm which is per se a limitation or a
rythm can emerge from the sound values as in much contemporary jazz; an example might be
the problem of making digital rythms swing as compared to the basie orchestra who were
able to play on the verge of rythmic collapse thus creating subtle unpredictabilities &
maintaining rythmic interest.
