like aether I reckon the opposite... - if it's too big you probably won't get the nicest sound out of it 'cos you won't be able to turn it up loud enough before someone turns it back down!

also makes it a lot easier for whoever is doing front of house and foldback to make it sound good to your audience and to in the monitors. lugging huge amps and dominating the on-stage sound will make you no friends!
