I haven't listened to much music radio since I got an iPod. But recently every time I turn on a contemporary music TV/radio station I can usually pick out Autotuned vocals on at least one new song. I know sometimes it is used as an 'effect' but that's pretty rare now.
What I can't figure out is if this is something vocalists are insisting on using or their producers. Either way the effect isn't being applied well and is becoming increasingly obvious and annoying to 'informed' ears.
