Triggering sounds with Soundplant while running Traktor

I'm using the freeware program "Soundplant 26" which lets you assign wave and aiff files to keys of the computer-keyboard. Now what I want to do is run DJ software such as Traktor DJ Studio 2 and at the same time have Soundplant respond to key presses (which it doesn't when the focus is on Traktor), so I can throw in some sounds without having to switch the focus back to Soundplant.

Is there any way to do this in Vista?
Help greatly appreciated
