I had to reinstall everything twice before I could get it like this. First time I had huge latency spikes, now it stays at around 160-200 microseconds most of the time. With my Fireface it plays well, but let's see with the Audiofire 2 that's arriving tomorrow.
the Vostro 1500 is essentially an Inspiron without the colourful exterior... but these are fantastic results. my priority at the mo is to get my soundcard working and then i will gladly run the utility to see what i get from my (almost identical) setup.
