Although my experience is rather old, I always found running my natural guitar sound through the CD24/GK lead was unacceptably noisy. Tried everything - resistors, lifting the screening, lifting the earth... in the end I just cable tied the GK lead to a guitar lead using the guitar lead to offer some strain protection for the much more expensive synth lead.

I'll be buying an Axon unit in a few weeks myself - hoping this is one part of guitar synthesis that has changed!
