thanks chaps - some squirty stuff on the way via ebay. If that fails I'll whip out a fader and measure the resistence.

The build quality of the thing is astounding. Die cast metal frame, each channel is a seperate socketed circuit board and the faders are connected via mini sockets so no de-soldering to remove them!

Sigh, I miss 1988
