You seem to feel that vintage gear is automatically bound to be unreliable. The only thing I ever repaired on my MiniMoog is a fuse holder and I've had it for 30 years! I can count on one hand the number of faults I've had on my old analogue gear in the last 10 years (and I have a lot). Interestingly I seem to experience considerably more trouble with newer devices.
I'm not saying to go for vintage gear (you can get much more for your money with modern gear), but don't dismiss it so readily for dubious reasons.
