I'm mixing up a band using a Mackie 24-4 VLZ Pro. I have the vocals subgrouped and a feedback destroyer on the sub insert (I have EQ separately on monitors and FoH). In addition I am using effects on the vocals tapped off on an aux send and at the moment brought back into the main & monitor mix (the band want the effects through the monitors - talent enhancer
) via the aux
returns.Although I have a feedback destroyer on the vocal subgroup it seems to me, after considering my setup, that there is a chance for feedback to bypass this through the effects loop. I'd appreciate any opinion on this and whether as an alternative I should consider bringing the effects return back into another channel strip rather than an aux return and feed this to the vocal subgroup. Or of course maybe there is another approach !!
I have 4 vocal channels and only one feedback destroyer so not enough capacity to use this on the individual vocal channel inserts.
Cheers
Dave
