It's a big investment you are considering. Any piece of outboard will have people who rave about it, and people who can't see the point. So while other opinions are useful, they aren't enough to help you when it comes to spending that much money.

However, because you are looking at spending serious money, the dealers will give you plenty of support.

As you already mix in the box, how about burning some typical stereo mixes to CD and taking the CD to the store with you. Make it midweek, and you should get plenty of time to try out plenty of great gear in depth.
