On my 8-core MacPro, Logic uses all 8 cores...
What are Your experience?
Yes Logic will use up to 8 virtual or real cores. Meaning that on an 8 core machine with HT enabled, it will ignore 8 virtual cores. With the new 12 core machines, Logic is finally able to ignore 16 virtual cores ;-). The good side of the same story is that the new machines might be a good extra incentive to Apple to update Logic so that it can use the extra cores, which means that the ‘old’ pro’s that can handle more than 8 virtual cores will benefit as well.
Best, M.
