Yeah, the same people who were quite happy to misuse the words "queer" and "pansy" leapt indignantly to the defence of the English language when the word gay was adopted! What hypocrisy!
This isn't about "word police" or "thought police" it's about keeping prejudice off the forum.

You're missing the point. When the kids today say something is "gay" they're not insulting homosexuals any more than we are when calling something odd "queer". It's just a word to them. One day I'll work out what they think "random" means :-)
