hi
i use a midi keyboard with 8 sliders and 8 rotary par controles
before the usb link broke all was fine the sliders were very responsive NOW as the usb broke i have to connect to my pc via midi
well the first thing i noticed was that the sliders and rotary controls were not responding well ie the rotry controls on the soft synths kind of jump round instead of moveing smoothly

also when left to idle the keyboard display [ that changes when i use the controls ] when left idle it changes for what would seem to me no reason

at the moment all i have connected between the pc and the midi keyboard is one midi lead out from keyboard midi out then in to pc midi in ,,,

1/ should i be connecting also out from pc midi out then in to keyboard midi in to give the keyboard a midi signal //

2/ or is midi just not as good as usb //

3/ or is my keyboard just more broke than i think

4/ or is there some settings on my sound card i should me using to make the keyboard work better ????
