You have to be a little careful buying x0xb0xes at the moment. There are a multitude of cheaply built ones from China around currently. And they are popping up all over the place. They all come from the same place, and look similar, but are branded slightly differently. TechnologyTransplant & ModeMachines to name but 2 (Yes, even SoS reviewed one of them). They are not all bad, but are built using the cheapest possible components, including pots. Plus they are involved in some legal bother regarding licensing of their clones too.
For those of you in the UK after a built one, The Beast is supposed to be good (if you can get hold of him). Andy Pledger on eBay seems to have a good reputation, and x0xsh0p.de is superb too.
Or if you are half decent with a soldering iron, build one! It's quite rewarding, and can be done for around £300 now..
