Digital Distributors - any good?

I'll never be on TOTP so let’s try Spotify….
Has any one had experience of using the digital distributors (aggregators) that Spotify points to on it's artist pages.
The likes of Tunecore and Record Union.
A quick search seems to throw up plusses and minuses for all of them.
Is there one which is more suited to the “independent” artist (ie one that is not going to make them much money).
