I once supplied a friend with a computer. Newly cleaned drive newly installed OS. Nowt else.
His mate scanned it for viruses. He had a hundred or so... "viruses".
Find out what's cheapest.Leave your User Account Control (UAC) on. Don't open anythng that triggers the UAC after visiting dodgy websites. Use the internet as a non-Administrator computer ID if you do.
Viruses are like Dracula. You have to open the door and invite them in.
