I have problems with my USB soundcard (Toneport GX) when using it with my Macbook Pro.

I'm getting lots of clicking/glitches/popping.

I'm running Windows XP in Bootcamp. I don't have the same problem with Garage Band when running Mac OS.

Cubase is giving me the ASIO time overload warning red flicker continually on the transport bar.

I've spent the day basically reinstalling, downloading updates, looking for advice on the web and am no closer to solving this. Apple support are away until Monday and I'm skeptical if they will be able to help.

At my wits end, please can someone give me some advice.

I'm considering going to search for a powered USB hub tomorrow as I have read these may solve the problem (this seems a really lame work around though.)


I should probably add that the sales pitch told me I would have no problems, and for months I have been putting up with running the exact same software on an old Pentium 4 machine, which does not have anything resembling this sort of problem (okay I couldn't run two VSTs at once and had to bounce tracks constantly but at least it wasn't popping and crackling). To say I am mightily angry right now would be about accurate I would say.
