So a friend of mine is desperate to spend as little money as possible on his live set up.
I've urged him to pick up a cheap interface, at least something on 1/4 jacks, as mini
jacks are just not a viable option, but, insistent as he is I said a mini jack to 1/4 Y
cable would work by using mono channels in his software, all panned to one side, and then
plug that into the DI box as a mono signal.
My only question would be, is the
headphone output on a laptop something that could be run through a DI, for live purposes,
so great sound quality isn't essential, just needs to work.
