Content creation: Small market. Content consumption: Huge market. That's what it boils
down to. Apple have figured out how to build nearly perfect content consumption devices,
and they're selling them as fast as they can make them. Let's hope they don't forget that
somebody, somewhere, still needs to create all the lovely content that's supposed to run
on their iOS devices.
And yes, when I look at Lion, it tells me OS X is on the
way out, but will eventually be replaced by iOS. This could be a good thing. According
to every benchmark I've seen, OS X is rather slow when compared with Windows. I could
imagine Apple is seizing the opportunity to build a modern and sleek OS.
